Abstract

|
The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of acupuncture stimulation at the loci of Sip Seon and Ki Dan on the blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR).
The results obtained were as follows:
1. The systolic blood pressure in SHR significantly decreased by acupuncture stimulation at the Sip Seon loci in this study.
2. The systolic blood pressure in SHR was not effective remarkablely by acupuncture stimulation at the Ki Dan loci in this experimental period.
3. Accordingly, it is considered that the therapeutic point Sip Seon can be used effectively for emergency treatment of hypertension.
